So as Porky the Pig used to say on television, "That's all…folks!" The ECTA held its final meet at Wilmington, Ohio recently and we have all of the results linked below. We want to be very clear that while it may be the end of the Ohio Mile it is certainly not the end of the ECTA. We are actively looking for a new place to race for 2017 and we're already working promising leads as you are reading this.
The Wilmington Air Park has been a fantastic host for our racing activities but simply put, they need their runway back and we're happy for them in a bittersweet fashion. It stinks that we have to leave but it is great for the community that they have prospects which should put a large number of their residents back to work.
Our final go 'round at Wilmington was spectacular. Despite losing most of a day on Friday we were able to put nearly 700 runs down the race track, racers set more than 120 records, and a safe weekend was had by all. There's little more that we could ask for than that. Thanks to everyone who competed dring our final meet and at any of our meets leading up to it at Wilmington.
We're done in Ohio…but we're not done! Stay tuned!
