Some information about the Bonneville Mile
This will be a 1.5 mile course on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Will be timing traps at the ½ mile 1 mile and 1½ half mile. There will be an additional 1 of shutdown. The course will be positioned as close to the end of the road as possible in order to limit the amount of salt exposure to vehicles. There will be spectator parking on the salt but no pit areas and no working on vehicles on the salt.
All vehicles will have to be street legal and will be driven to and from the course. There will be no pits on the salt flats. We will have a staging area in the parking lot across from the truck stop at the Interstate exit. Vehicles will be escorted in groups to and from the end of the road.
There will be secure parking available for trailers on the airport grounds in Wendover . There will be hangar space available for parking the cars at night at the airport. We are also working on having drive on lifts and wash down equipment along with salt neutralizer equipment available at the airport.
The rules will be the same as we run at the Arkansas Mile, 2009 and newer cars can run in factory trim up to 199 mph. Vehicles of all ages are gladly accepted. If you exceed the speed limit for your safety equipment, your time slip and run will still count, but you must compete at a shorter distance for the rest of the event. Example if your streetcar runs 206 mph in the 1½ mile you can then only run to the one mile for the rest of the event.
Cost will be $1650
Registration will be due April 1st 2025
In the event of a cancelation there will be 75% refund $1237.5 or you can transfer it to next year’s event or any future Ecta event
